Mewar Polytex Group started manufacturing under the flagship company Mewar Polytex Ltd. In the year 1979.
At that time woven sack was only manufactured using polyethylene material which had a lot of issues regarding strength and elongation especially in filling low-micron material like cement and fertilizer with high pressure.
The company became the pioneer in manufacturing woven sacks with polypropylene material. It made the bag rigid and efficient to manufacture as well as use.
Since then the growth trajectory of the company has been interesting. Looking at the potential untapped packaging requirement around the Udaipur district, the company decided to go public in the year 1995 and soon established its name in the Rajasthan region.
Promoters of the group always believed in manufacturing quality products and providing prompt customer service.
These values of the company opened opportunities to export to Europe in the ’90s even when the export environment in the country was not very favorable.
The company kept adding complex and value-added products to its portfolio since then.
A joint venture with an engineered textile manufacturing company based in the USA happened in the year 2005. Group also set up its own office in the USA to manage sales and distribution in North America.
Group and senior leadership believed in standardizing quality measures and processes for each product being added to the portfolio. They believed in investing in leading technology and infrastructure which led to exponential growth in the last 10 years.
